Application process

How to become a registrar so as to register .lu domain names.

Before deciding to become a registrar, we advise you to request first an acces to our test system in order to check whether your technical systems comply with our standards. Access to the test system is available upon simple request and without further engagement and no fees by sending an email to epp@dns.lu. For further details check the section Test system.

If you decide to perform this activity, we kindly request that you complete the Enrolment form and send it to us. You will then receive, by of return mail, a personalized copy of the Contract to be signed (in duplicate, no photocopies).

The contract will be countersigned by the Foundation within a maximum of thirty days. You will be billed a one-off fee of 500.00 EUR (excl. tax) to cover administrative costs.

You will be given access to the registration system after reception of a prepayment of funds (min 2,500.00 EUR) covering the operations, and you will be added to the list of accredited registrars after passing a basic technical ability test.
