Domain names with 1 or 2 numeric and/or alphabetical characters under the .lu extension formed by the following ASCII and IDN alphanumeric characters are open for registration:

a, à, â, ä, æ, b, c, ç, d, e, è, é, ê, ë, f, g, h, i, î, ï, j, k, l, m, n, o, ô, ö, œ, p, q, r, s, t, u, ù, û, ü, v, w, x, y, z, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, excluding the character "-" (hyphen).

Exclusion of certain combinations

A small number of combinations with 1 and 2 characters is disqualified from registration:

  • domain names registered pursuant to earlier registration rules,
  • the and domain names, reserved for use by the registry.
