What exactly is the migration to a manager’s my.lu online account ?
We talk about migration in following cases:
- A holder or its representative, the administrative contact, has registered domain names under .lu with DNS-LU under the classic option. He decides to have its domain names managed on the online platform called my.lu. Therefore its domain names have to be migrated to a manager’s my.lu online account. The manager is apppointed by the holder/administrative contact, whereas the holder/administrative contact may also be the manager himself. See section * The differences between management using the DNS-LU-online platform my.lu and classic registration.
- A holder or its administrative contact decides to replace its current domain names’ manager by a new one. So the domain names of the former manager have to be transferred to the my.lu online account of the newly appointed manager.
Migration relates only to domain names actually registered with DNS-LU as registrar. Migration must not be mixed up with a registrar transfer (transfer of management) to a DNS-LU my.lu online account. A registrar transfer has to be performed by the manager himself in its account by using the specific transfer request function in the menue. See section * Change your registrar.
