For DNS-LU customers, chargeable operations include VAT at the standard rate of 17%. Entities in EU countries are VAT-exempt as long as a valid intracommunity VAT number is provided at the time of invoicing. DNS-LU systems carry out automatic checks of VAT numbers at regular intervals. If any error is found and not corrected by the time the invoice is issued, the entity in question is automatically charged VAT. This test is performed using information provided by the European Commission services. If there are any errors or anomalies, DNS-LU’s responsibility only extends as far as passing this information on to the contact in question. DNS-LU shall take no steps to look into the error or to find a valid VAT number. The registrant or its representative are solely responsible for supplying a valid VAT number.
