Transferring a domain name from another registrar to DNS-LU
To transfer a domain name from one accredited .lu registrar to DNS-LU, the procedure is the same as that described in the section:
Transferring a name from one registrar to another.
DNS-LU will then be the new registrar and the request should be sent to DNS-LU stating which of the two management methods offered by DNS-LU is required.
If the applicant decides to manage its domain name using the classic procedure, the transfer is basically a new registration with DNS-LU and a new registration contract needs to be signed. The transfer is invoiced based on the current price list described in the “Fees” document.
For management through the online platform my.lu, the applicant must sign up for a manager account. Creation of a manager account is subject to acceptance of the conditions of service pertaining thereto. The manager has to register the transfer request , evententually combined with an ownership change (trade) in the corresponding field. The outcome of the request is send by email to the manager. The delay may take up to 14 days depending on the administrative contact 's response time,
